Compare and contrast the IBM PC BIOS, EFI, coreboot, and Open Firmware. What are the key features of each, and what are their advantages and disadvantages?
Does it make any sense to implement RAID in the context of a cluster-based filesystem such as the Google File System? Explain and contrast the RAID and GFS approaches to fast yet reliable storage using commodity disks.
